SUMMER 2022 JEWELLERY TRENDS

From Glastonbury and Wireless to Secret Garden Party and Notting Hill Carnival, you’ll always find CARAT* around for festival season. No one said you can’t rock fine jewellery in a field.

So look no further for the jewellery festival trends we’ve spotted so far… and see which pieces will be headlining your jewellery box soon.

Chunky Hoops

Sometimes, less is more. But when you’re rocking out to Paul McCartney or Kendrick Lamar, why hold back? When it comes to hoops for summer days by the main stage and strobe light-lit dance tents, the bigger the better.

And because the fashion crowd’s love affair with the chunky hoop is so enduring, we’ve got you covered with an array of different styles. The Large Hayley Hoops in gold vermeil or sterling silver are the perfect everyday pair, which add impact without taking over. They’re great as the star attraction with other smaller hoops if you’ve got multi-pierced ears too.

Craving more sparkle? Then the Dana Hoops and Lonny Hoops are accented with beautifully sparkling cubic zirconia stones to catch the light. Check out our entire collection of Hoop Earrings.

Palm Leaves

Outfits everywhere have moved away from spring florals and – wham bam – into vibrant summer prints. The most popular include hibiscus graphics and, of course, palm tree motifs.

Don’t let your clothes have all the fun; these summer favourites can be incorporated into your jewellery collection too for a fun finish. We’re here for it so much that we created a whole collection dedicated to the palm frond. For us, nothing announces ‘summer vacation’ more than a palm tree.

Borneo Palm Necklace

Back to your festival look, and the Borneo Necklace is an easy way to achieve the layered trend without having to overpack your valuables. The emerald tone pairs with bold summer hues and the gold vermeil brings elegance to a festival-approved denim shorts and white vest combo. Pair with the matching Palma Earrings – and try a high ponytail to really show them off.

Rainbow Colours

From homeware to handbags, rainbow colours are oh-so-popular right now. Work these vibrant shades into your jewellery selection, while helping to spread an all-important Pride message.

The
Lexi Rainbow Necklace is a great place to start because it’s cleverly four necklaces in one. We’re loving it worn as a choker, layered against a crew-neck tee or above a scoop neckline, but it can also be worn looser, in a lariat form, or flipped around to be worn as a pendant. It’s crafted from sterling silver in a yellow gold finish and features rainbow-hued round stones.

Try out our
Aimee Rainbow Bracelet for this season’s take on the tennis bracelet and you’re good to go. We’ve designed it in three stone size options to cater for every budget and preference – a gorgeous piece to layer with other tennis and chain bracelets, or wear alone.

See you at the next fest.
